iam
People say "I am" to state who they are. It is a simple declaration of identity, like "I am a doctor" or "I am here."
What a model may hear
- Identity and Access Management cloud computing, AWS, enterprise security
- Assume the user wants to create policies, manage roles, or control permissions for AWS resources
- IAM authentication protocol database systems, PostgreSQL, MySQL
- Expect the user is configuring database login methods or IAM-based authentication hooks
- in-memory data structure programming, caching systems
- Treat 'iam' as a variable or function name related to identity mapping in code
- pronoun parsing natural language processing, linguistics
- Analyze the input as first-person singular pronoun usage for coreference resolution
Where people and models part ways
“I am locked out”
Meant: The person cannot access their account
May be taken as: The model generates AWS IAM policy fixes for resource lockout instead of account recovery steps
Say instead: “I am locked out of my personal account and need to reset my password”
“Set up iam for my team”
Meant: Create a simple way for team members to log in
May be taken as: The model builds complex AWS IAM roles with cross-account trusts and policy documents
Say instead: “Set up basic user accounts and logins for my team, not AWS”
“Who am I?”
Meant: The person wants self-knowledge or reflection
May be taken as: The model returns technical metadata about the user's IAM principal, ARN, or assumed role
Say instead: “Help me reflect on my personal values and identity”
“I am confused”
Meant: The person feels uncertain
May be taken as: The model searches for 'IAM' documentation about error states or misconfigurations
Say instead: “Explain this topic simply, I do not understand it”
Tips
- Say 'personal identity' or 'self-description' if you mean who you are as a person
- Say 'AWS IAM' or 'cloud permissions' if you mean the Amazon service
- Say 'login' or 'user accounts' if you mean basic access, not enterprise policy systems
- Avoid 'iam' as one word when you mean 'I am'; write it out or add context
- Specify the platform name when asking about any identity system
